"Oil" painting done in ArtRage.
I downloaded the Studio Pro Demo today, quite fun! I'm definitely going to continue playing around with this program. It's pretty easy to get into with very little hiccups. Though I did manage to stamp my whole painting with several small squares, sadly not affected by my friend undo. That was weird.
WIP take two

Hmm, the color was quite off in the last WIP. This too is not quite right but its much closer. I don't really spend a lot of time on the snapping of process shots. I'll figure out the appropriate settings when the time comes. OK? ok.
I AM STRUGGLING WITH THE WAVES. Woe : (
The great albino LEGO moose of the north.

This is my moose proxy. I know what you're thinking, it looks like a crooked LEGO moose. Just you wait! I will transform it into a majestic beast. In time....in time...
Oh, the weight of the world afloat.

Mango cure
1.11.2010
In bed, no one can hear you scream. I'm having one of the days where this is the most comfortable, magnetized habitat and I can't escape. I just don't know what I'll be doing once I'm upright and mobile. I've gotten as far as thinking "shower" a good first task to complete. There's a chance that water will rejuvenate my limbs and get me into the proper state of mind to complete a day. If it does not? Well...I believe my next task to be "mango", and then I'll go from there.
Due to the holidays, I've really done fux all in the area of creative output. Now I have a friend staying with me and aside from yesterdays corpse like post gin recovery, I'd like to take advantage of this visit and get out into the snow, trees, ancient buildings & canal side factories. Perhaps this week will be more about photos than the painting of a deal pilot whale.
Well hey, here's a WIP either way:

Epic adventure
12.11.2009
I woke up this morning with a start.
"I slept in!" was echoing in the background but I was still stuck in dream world. I was in the middle of the forest trying to cross a log that kept changing size. The log stretched out across a muddy rushing creek, it was pouring rain and I had a huge buffalo sized carrot in tow. I could barely drag it along the ground! The height of the watery ravine also changed. The log would drop a foot, then three. While I was struggling, a girl I barely know (IRL) showed up and awkwardly asked if I needed help. You know, with....my giant carrot. I said that yes, I probably did.
We both fought with the carrot as two semi-strangers coming together to solve a problem would. Uncomfortably, with small bouts of insecure laughter here and there.
I'm sad to say that things looked bleak for dream me, the log had dropped at least 6 feet and the carrot had fallen into the water.
To be continued this evening?!??!

I've been trying to do a sketch a day. I've never come close to doing something like this before, which is pretty ridiculous when you think about it. In fact, I don't really draw much at all...terrible. It's rewarding to look down to see a pile of sketches looking back at you. Even if they aren't that good, or are completely random & will never be used for anything. The accomplishment feeds me & shoves me forward. Not to mention, I think I'm getting better by the day!
Here's the first batch.
Here's the first batch.
The lion was inspired by a television show I was watching at the time called "Into the Pride". I found it really frustrating that some dude(Dave Salmoni) decided he had the right to order magnificent beasts charging him to "Cut it out" as if they were dogs scrapping over a bone or something. In reality, they were suggesting his gangly human ass get the hell out of their business & more than likely loling inside as he waved his stick around.
People are so weird.
